why so many wannabe content providers

I see wannabe content providers popping up every single day

" I'm content provider, I shoot top notch stuff, I'm Hefner's best friend, I've been shooting this for 250 years "

No samples, no references, no clue of why they're here and what's the plan.

Where do they come from?
Is it because pimping is cool?

Not arrogance, it's perplexity

The first thing I did when I came to the board (and many others as well) was reading as much as possible and gathering any information I could complie.
When finished, I had a list of possible clients, and a plan to do, unlike the most of wannabes coming here and spamming their asses out, hoping to earn a buck.

Shooting content (and selling it afterwards) is a HARD WORK, that's why I wonder why so many tend to pick this way.

I don't claim to be the best, my content was never sold to Playboy (yet ) , but I produce solid pro-am content and I'm sure I can always find a customers for the stuff I produce.

maybe I did mentioned already - the situation is no good at least for us.Sales are down and we lost 2 big clients for custom stuff due to low USD vs local currancy.
Right now I am working on new face of ACC and will see how it goes on
but situation in content biz is pretty far from what it was - at least for us.Maybe others are still doing great as we did the last 5 years.

but for some reason sales dropped down really unussual way - we've just started the production of nonexcl. HD collection so will see.I guess that there is no customer for non excl. now - sponsors provide thier own content + smaller paysites have completaly different problems (tube sites and so).
Will focuse on custom stuff if USD will make it bit higher
