Are your websites Apple Safari friendly?

Too many people are buying Macs, and Safari is starting to obtain a decent portion of the browser market. Apple advertises it is 2x faster than IE7. I just downloaded it for Windows and pages are definitely loading a lot faster (multiple images at a time are loaded).

Most of my pages look good, but several also need to be edited, to comply with yet another browser.

Do most MAC users have Windows Media Player? I need to start making my embedded video pages Quicktime friendly too...

Most users have Flip4Mac to play them with. It's easy to play WMV on a mac, though embedded videos will usually load in a popup.

Safari is wayyyyy better than IE7, but a lot of mac users use Firefox also. If you format it for firefox and put a little "this site is best using firefox" disclaimer, it'll be easier to make it cross compatible.

Safari and firefox will render the same the majority of the time, on both platforms. Safari's font rendering is slightly different, but negligible most of the time

Your best bet is to code for a compliant browser ( Safari , Opera , firefox ) and then fix bugs in IE

If you design for IE and try to make it work in the others AFTER, you're chasing your tail.

I use Firefox on my Mac, but we do make sure everything works and looks good in Safari too. Flip4Mac is a free plug-in for the Mac to play WMV files. Most will work fine, but sometimes embedded video will play in the pop-up player.

Safari is definitely one of the best browsers on the market. Just add-in capability and it'll be the best!

Most LionDollars sites are designed on Mac, so yes, perfectly compliant.

We test on full range of browsers as part of normal quality control in the build process.
