I own both an ipod and sony walkman. OK Walkman doesn't look as nice as ipod but:

1) much better sound quality

2) great headphones

3) much better battery life

4) easier controls

Basically it rapes ipod.

everybody already has the ipod though...thats why i think nobody is making a dent in their market share.... so if you dont have 1 but almost all your friends have one, you get one.....snowball effect...everybody gets the ipod

I have a little cheap Sansa 2gig thing for when i ride the lawnmower around my yard for 5 hours. I don't give enough of a shit about music to cart an iPod around with all sorts of stuff on it anywhere else

Music is background noise to me, so it doesn't matter whats playing as long as something is on.

I don't have an iPod. I really would not mind having one due to the size, but the sheer fact that Rhapsody does not work with iPods will always keep me away from buying one.
