    Just watched Gangs of New York again

    I forgot how good that movie is.

    And i forgot how fucking good Daniel Day Lewis acts in that movie as Bill the Butcher. Fucking amazing actor. I hardly know any of his other roles but i'm really impressed with his performance in this flick.

    It always amazes me how they find the right people for certain roles.

    Like this guy.

    He looks like this:


    And he ends up looking like this in the movie and plays a role you would never expect from a person like that.



    Just like Viggo in Lord of the Rings.

    They take this guy:



    And turn him into this:



    What i'm trying to say is instead of looking for someone who really fits that role they manage to find people who are the total opposite but play that role like no other person could.

                                      Gangs of New York is my favorite movie I've seen it 20+ times, and love it every time

                                      And Daniel Day Lewis is fantastic...must be something about actors with middle names, 'cause him and Philip Seymour Hoffman are untouchable

                                                                      Watch it at the Archlight in Hollywood, if you'll be in town. The movie is worth watching on a terrific screen.
