real-time earthquake map here and centered around Big Bear Mountain.

Fuck me - I was living in Pleasanton California for the '89 quake. Holy Shit! I was at work at the time; It knocked everything off of every shelf. The aftermath wasn't much better. Pretty much everything shut down. No power, phones, no TV, and everything was closed. Streets were closed down becuase of downed power lines and what not.
