2003 Supercharged MB E55 .. 500HP. For 35K. Should I get it?

Buddy of mine owns a dealership and just got this sweet trade in for peanuts and asked me if I want to buy it. Silver color, 46K miles.
Should I get it.

make sure its a CPO/Starmark car and is covered by warranty. Repairs on amg are costly.. Keep in mind that 2003 had no factory navigation systems. The 5.5 kompressor is a great motor and you will have tons of fun with this car the price is very low also.

That's a decent deal, but keep in mind the expenses that are coming up, around the corner...brake pads will be replaced soon...timing belt...60K tune-up...etc

If you are just looking for pimp-status, then go for it; practically-speaking, there are better routes you could go.

No, no pimp status. Just thought it may be good deal. it was time to buy something for myself. Last time I went to buy “my car” in BMW dealership with my wife I came back with Mini Cooper. Guess whos driving it now???

2003's had some recalls you need to watch for. and its already out of the factory warranty, I would never buy an AMG MB if its out of warranty. parts cost a lot, maintenance is a b*tch on these. its a supercharged car, gota watch out for some things. good luck

Buying and older benz? I guess you want to have that car in the shop every other weekend and when it happens, have your wallet handy.
