I work out daily and showers daily! Feels great!

rowan 01-19-2008 05:49 AM

At least once a day, sometimes twice in summer. I don't usually bother to have a shower before I start work though, I often spend half the day in my jammies. There's been a few occasions where a courier has turned up unexpected and I've answered the door with "sleep" hair, even though it's 11am. :1orglaugh

I do - I have OCD and having a shower without washing my hair would make me feel dirty. Id feel like my hair is all dirty. Luckily I have short hair so it it drys pretty quick.

Almost every day, sometimes I skip a day (or two).

Same here! Sometimes my mailman comes by at 2 or 3 pm and I'm still sleeping and answer the door in jammies and sleep hair. I think my mailman sees me half-asleep and with sleep hair 95 percent of the time. One time when he rang the door I was actually dressed and awake and I think he was shocked!!

He probably wonders what I do for a living since I just seem to be sleeping EVERY TIME I open the door to receive a package. I am half asleep and so tired that I sign with my eyes closed and sometimes can't even figure out where to sign, like in a daze.

i shower every day, either once or twice daily

days when i dont shower happen maybe once, twice per year

in summer when its hot, sometimes (but not that often i think) i may shower 3 times, eg. once in the morning, second shortly before i leave the house and the last time, before going to bed

in fact though, i only have a bathtub, no shower, so by shower i mean taking a bath actually (usually quite short, unless i want to relax)

cant believe why im sharing all this though

any time I need to go out I will be showered. Anytime my GF is on her way over I take a shower. When I am just working at home I will go a couple days without a shower and not notice. I do change my clothes at least once a day no matter what happens.

in winter?

I always wondered how people can even make it to a coffee shop without having coffee first.

Its all in your head. You don't need coffee to do anything.

No, it's not all in my head! I truly feel lethargic and exhausted without coffee. If I HAVE to then I would be able to do stuff without coffee but why subject myself to misery?

Coffee is an addictive drug. People really do have withdrawal symptoms such as headaches and shakiness once they stop drinking coffee. I only drink one cup a day (I'm not an addict) but I feel like I cannot think clearly without it and I kinda have a headache without it.

Zebra 01-19-2008 10:35 AM

Usually once a day. I would say 25% of the days before noon, 50% of the time between noon and before I go to pick up my daughter from school at 3pm, and 25% of the time before I go to bed if I have a really busy day.

Maybe you're not getting enough sleep? I never drink coffee and just don't get the whole 'i can't do anything without my coffee' attitude. If you never started drinking it everyday in the first place, you wouldn't feel you need it.

BlackCrayon 01-19-2008 10:44 AM

And to answer the question, i shower daily but like others i don't always shower first thing when i get up as im usually on the computer working when i first get up.

I sleep around 8-9 hrs a day, I'm lazy and sleep a lot. Even if I sleep 10 hrs a day I still need coffee. Yes, of course if I never started drinking it everyday I wouldn't feel I needed it.

Talk about sleep, it's 6 am and I haven't slept yet. I have to sleep soon. Probably end up waking around 3 pm. I'm fucked!!!!

fuzebox 01-19-2008 12:06 PM

To me I don't feel like I'm ready to start working for the day unless I've showered... I could wake up at 9, fuck around for a couple of hours, check stats, answer emails, read the boards, but until I've had a shower I'm not mentally in "work mode".

s9ann0 01-19-2008 12:21 PM

i shower loads like 2-3 times a day

rowan 01-19-2008 04:57 PM

Before I installed a security camera at the front door I wouldn't even bother opening it if I was in my jammies with sleep hair... it's usually just Jehova's witnesses or door hawkers. (One time it was a guy who wanted to see if anyone was home before he forced the door...)

Now if I see a van in the driveway then I know I can open the door, regardless of my dress or hair state, cos I'll probably never see them again anyway. :1orglaugh

PS: It's 10:57am and I am currently in my jammies with hair sticking out everywhere

lbc213 01-19-2008 05:02 PM

everyday

Jace 01-19-2008 05:05 PM

i am lucky if I shower/bath once a week, I am one dirty mofo

I am actually not that dirty though, if you met me in public you would never know

plus I have no hair whatsoever, so that helps

rowan 01-19-2008 05:06 PM

I spoke with a middle aged woman who told me that baths were a luxury when she was a child. They relied on well water, most of it was used for farming purposes, so they could only have a bath once a week.

Otter 01-19-2008 07:51 PM

I dont want sticky balls either so shower daily
