Red Dragon is OK but...
1) Hannibal Lechter appears even less then in Silence of The Lambs - 15 minutes total screen time maybe?!?
2) Hollywood Serial Killer Ending. You'd think any gumshoe worth his badge would simply study Serial Killer movies to solve a case. I cant think of one mainstream serial killer movie that doesn;t have this same ending sequence.

The book rocked. It's awesome stuff.
If I wanted to see Hannibal be the main star in a film again, I would have watched Silence of the Lambs. I hope the movie captures even just 25% of the book's quality. If it does, I'm sold. |

Wasn't this movie supposed to be about Dr. Lechter's early days when he started to develop a taste for killing and eating the rude?
I'm pissed off that they brought a different killer into it. fuck!

Yep. manhunter was good, but it was produced by Michael Mann, so it was waaay too fucking "Miami Vice"... It was, as far as I know, the first movie to show "Profiling" as a police technique.
I'd like to see a movie about the actual CAPTURE of Hannibal Lechter, that would be a damn good movie!
