I hardly know you, but I feel our paths have crossed and perhaps already there has been irreversible harm done to you and your future. I also wish your family didn't have to go through this. It's going to be tough times ahead for all of you, and I hope that the time you spend here won't damage your psyche that much.

I understand you didn't have much choice in the matter, but it still makes me feel bad to think what you're about to go through.
