I don't EVER hear someone say He/she is the first Irish person, or Italian, or Jewish. The color of your skin does not reveal your nationality!!! What tripped me out when I was in Europe was seeing so much positive news about Africa. All we see is the negative here. It's not all peaches and cream here either.

I have an opportunity to "house-sit" on an island off the coast of Africa. "Cape Verde" ... thinking about going... but then I have visions of angry black people showing up at my house with machete's and I'm sure it's not like that. Watching the news is really fucking depressing. I try not too ...

Well there actually is a lot of culture to experience in Africa other than Machete killings in Rwanda. You can also choose from canabilsm in The Congo, gang raping and riots in the once called "Pillar of Stability" Kenya or if you have the time watch a genocide in Darfur. It's basically a cultural smorgasbord of good clean fun for the entire family.

I think if this happened race would only really be brought up under two circumstances. First would be if there was a repeat of the 2000 election where it was very close and there were lawsuits and things like that which eventually sided with the white guy. I think whether the law ended up being correct or not doing that there would still be some that would see it as racist.

The other way I could see it happening is if he just got stomped. If the vote was like 80% to 20% I think there were be some people that would play the race card and say people didn't vote for him because he is black.
