Who knows stuff about baseball

Where can I find a list (with pictures) of all the pitchers for the New York Mets from say 1985-2005?

I've been looking everywhere but can't find anything that'll help me.

I am not trying to make any money off of it. Apparantly this guy I've talked to a few times at my health club pitched for them in the 90s or around there. I am not sure what his name is though, and I'd like to see if the person who told me that knows what they're talking about or not.

yeah, almanac then or perhaps the mets website and going back in time feature if they have one, some do but only a few years..

those stat search things baseball commentators use during the games
are licensed by some company, Stats ???, i am trying ot find it as
I always did want to license that data engine and have some fun it with..

Doesnt matter about making money with it.. you can make money with stats
because stats cannot be copyrighted as they are "FACTS"

You should be able to do a google image search for his name..
If he was a player, he should show up..

Maybe check a local sports card shop. A few sets during those years had 'team checklist' cards which might be a good place to start with player names and positions. From there you could search for the images.

Found it

Go to http://mlb.com and click on "stats"

On theleft side bar select historical stats / pictchers / year

Now you can click on the team name "Mets" to see the pitchers with stats

For example the 1985 mets had

1. D Gooden
NYM 24 4 1.53 35 35 16 8 0 --- 276.2 198 51 47 13 2 69 268

2. R Darling
NYM 16 6 2.90 36 35 4 2 0 --- 248.0 214 93 80 21 3 114 167

3. E Lynch
NYM 10 8 3.44 31 29 6 1 0 --- 191.0 188 76 73 19 1 27 65

4. S Fernandez
NYM 9 9 2.80 26 26 3 0 0 --- 170.1 108 56 53 14 2 80 180

5. R McDowell*
NYM 6 5 2.83 62 2 0 0 17 --- 127.1 108 43 40 9 1 37 70

6. R Aguilera
NYM 10 7 3.24 21 19 2 0 0 --- 122.1 118 49 44 8 2 37 74

7. J Orosco
NYM 8 6 2.73 54 0 0 0 17 --- 79.0 66 26 24 6 0 34 68

8. D Sisk
NYM 4 5 5.30 42 0 0 0 2 --- 73.0 86 48 43 3 2 40 26

9. T Leach
NYM 3 4 2.91 22 4 1 1 1 --- 55.2 48 19 18 3 1 14 30

10. T Gorman
NYM 4 4 5.13 34 2 0 0 0 --- 52.2 56 32 30 8 0 18 32

11. C Schiraldi
NYM 2 1 8.89 10 4 0 0 0 --- 26.1 43 27 26 4 3 11 21

12. B Latham

13. B Berenyi

14. W Gardner
NYM 0 2 5.25 9 0 0 0 0 --- 12.0 18 14 7 1 0 8 11

15. J Sambito
NYM 0 0 12.66 8 0 0 0 0 --- 10.2 21 18 15 1 0 8 3

16. R Niemann
NYM 0 0 0.00 4 0 0 0 0 --- 4.2 5 0 0 0 0 0 2

17. R Myers

If the guy didn't actually pitch in a major league game, he wouldn't have stats.
