ok, check it out. i'm gonna have thehand from VS place a straight bet couple hundred bucks for me when he puts his down in vegas since i'm not going on JACK. i too have thought they are running a little rich to go all the way undefeated. especially after watching the game last week.
let's see if you're right cory. if you are, saddle ranch steak chops on me.
Hey man, ESPN.com is calling, they need you back over there. The Hype Bus leaves in 5 minutes, you wouldn't want to miss that.
I am going to go ahead and assume that pseudo-humor was because you expected antagonism when you made this thread.
Going off of your thread in regards to the Patriots/Chargers game, the key to your pick was based on history.
History -
Belichick is 12-2 in the playoffs with the Patriots
Patriots lead the head-to-head playoff series 2-1
No need to elaborate on all the ridiculous records the Patriots set this year, as I am sure you are fully aware.
And for your edification, I like the Jags more than the Pats, but logic/history prevails.
Are you up for the $100 no-spread bet, Coach Cory?

I made this thread to help people like you, not make money. It took all I had last time to bet Boneprone, I only did it because I wanted to prove a point.
Just take my advice. I am trying to help you.

By the way, history isn't in your favor on this one. And really, stats aren't that much better for you.
The fact that it is in New England is the basis of your bet.
If I am wrong, I will admit it first thing Sunday morning. I have never taken issue admitting I am wrong.
But I am right.

Speaking of bowls...I'm going to need to learn about the different divisions of college football...it just seems like a giant maze.

I wish I could watch it with everyone, that was fun last year.
Have fun man...
Ah, I gotcha - thought you were goin' to the show.
Hope the move goes smoothly...I moved in October from Sherman Oaks to Woodland Hills (to be closer to our office)...definitely a hassle, but no roommates now and a 15-minute commute (versus an hour) were well worth every back-breaking moment.
it wouldn't surprise me at all but i still think NE wins. the edge is off their game, the run for 16-0 has something to do with it, they are giving up 4.9 yards per carry. if Brady leads them to a Super Bowl he moves past all of them - Elway, Marino, Montana
I moved my sites to Vacares Hosting. I've saved money, my hair is thicker, lost some weight too! Thanks Sly!

That 4.9 yards is conservative considering many teams were forced into passing against them in the early part of the season.
I see you feel my vibe though : )

Christ I hope you are right. If NE runs the table I thnk I will have to stop watching football it will make me so sick.
I think it will be a tough game.
What I don't understand is all the Patriot-haters...especially when it comes to everyone's "new" favorite team:
"(The Jaguars)...had 7 players arrested in 2007, good for tops in the league. 14 Jags have been arrested since Del Rio took over as head coach.
The Patriots had no players arrested in 2007 and besides the marijuana arrest of short-timer Johnathan Sullivan in 2006, they haven?t had anyone appear on the (police) blotter since the immortal Marquise Walker picked up a DUI in July, 2004 and was released within the week.
Del Rio appears be quite the mentor. You?ll recall that after the Patriots and Jaguars last met, (December 2006) Del Rio was asked about a play in which Tom Brady faked out the defense during a first half running play, which caused the Jacksonville defenders to hold up, thinking Brady was going to slide. The Jags coach responded ?They should?ve speared him then,? - spearing of course is hitting straight-on with the helmet and has been illegal in the NFL since 1979. (Just like taping the opposing sidelines.)"
Well since Jacksonville had two of their touchdowns set up by huge lucky plays last week and no passing game I'd say they have zero chance of winning this one.

Perfectly acceptable response from a former linebacker.

Place your bets accordingly. Bet your house, your trailer, whatever you like.
Too much run, too many wins in a row.
Goodbye Undefeated.
That's all.
Being a lifelong Dolphin's fan and a Pats hater I wish I could believe this but I feel the Pats are on a roll that is not stopping til the end of the Superbowl.
I do not think Jacksonville's offense can put up enough points to keep up. I am predicting 40 to 20 but I hope I am wrong.
