Can u leave luggage at an airport? Say you have to make a stopover in a city..

Anyone know if you can leave luggage to be stored at an airport? Im making a stopover in Chicago for 2 days.. I dont want to bring my luggage all the way to a hotel and back for no reason.. can I just store it at the airport? Do they have such services?

I think the Calgary airport does, would probably depend on which city you're in. I'm not sure if they're for overnight storage or not though.

Ask staff where the storage lockers are (if any).

Think they've pretty much gotten rid of storage lockers at airports since the security crackdown...

From flychicago.com:

Are storage lockers available at the airport?
Due to security measures, there are no luggage storage facilities at this time.

If you can find a nearby hotel, even one you're not staying at, you can often pay a small fee to have them held.

You have a two day stay and you don't want to take your luggage to the hotel?

How much do you have?

I wouldn't trust them with it, personally...

But I imagine you could make arrangements with the airline you're flying on. They all have luggage storage facilities reserved at every airport they fly from.
