Hosting - on the average or the peak?

Do you really think that by hosting with the big companies who mostly bill on the peak and claim to offer bandwidth of much higher quality, offer more then a company like level3 who bills on the average but has a reputation for slow connections and terrible routing?

    Is it worth the buck?

Since when does level3 bill based on average?

Last I was shopping bandwidth (okay fine, back in the "real world" a couple years ago now.) they were doing 90 percentile, which was better than most.

They did have a somewhat strange rule of you bringing them $X,XXX in revenue per rack, otherwise they wouldn't deal with you. Makes sense I suppose, at least back then. ;)

Host with an adult company that knows what it's doing and will work with you knowing exactly the issues that go along with running an adult site.

NatNet, BlueGravity, LikeWhoa, M3Server, Mach10 Hosting

can't go wrong, sleep better too. If you buy hosting from somebody like Level 3, you better have a full time server admin working for you.
I moved my sites to Vacares Hosting. I've saved money, my hair is thicker, lost some weight too! Thanks Sly!

Any hosting is worth the buck, if it works for YOU.

Everybody's needs are different, everybody's traffic patterns are different, and everybody's income is different. Just be sure to compare apples to apples and oranges to oranges when you're looking for a host, and you'll do alright.
