Do you see the two shades of green above?
Would you believe that there is actually only one shade of green?

No, you have to look at something for your brain to analyze. Since your brain is so good at removing motion so you don't get motion sickness, when you look at something with no motion, all of a sudden the 'corrections' the brain has placed on the spinal spiral are placed on what you are looking at. Very weird, because the movements are in different directions. So, when you look at your hand, a portion of it appears to be moving one way, and another portion in the opposite way, and yet another portion in the opposite way again. Eventually, after 5 or 10 seconds, the brain will correct again - proving simply how amazing it is.

My screen is so big that I can read that one easily. Works better on smaller monitors (& lower resolutions).

That's kinda freaky because when I first look at it, they do look different color, but as I stare at it, the color does look the same, but when I look away and look back at it, it looks like 2 colors all over again, he he he.

Yeah, I noticed the same thing.... it's so neat how your brain reacts to what the eyes see.

What you believe you see is not what your eyes see... it's your brains interpretation of what the eyes see. After all, you don't see 2 distinct images, with a blind spot in each, do you? Of course, not... but that's what your eyes see. And what's crazier about it is how the brain interpretes the same colors as being different colors according to their surroundings. The classic illusion:
http://www.umds.ac.uk/physiology/dav...day/hhgrid.gif
really shows this off.

This next link is a page in which you can change the illusion to see how great you are at comparing two different things:
http://www.exploratorium.edu/exhibits/changingill/
very cool.

You can cheat on some of them, like the one with 45 degree lines - it's easy to tell the lines are straight when there is no jagged edges in them.

You have to look in the center of the image. I think it works best that way.
