We are paying women do something they do for pleasure anyhow.

stev0 01-06-2008 01:54 PM

I empower women to exploit themselves :D

CarlosTheGaucho 01-06-2008 03:33 PM

It's the most feministic thing in the history that ever happened - women don't have to be ashamed of their sexuality and can make money with that.

...but you jerk off ONCE in ONE GOD DAMN MOVIE THEATER AND

latinasojourn 01-06-2008 03:49 PM

the majority of mainstream porn does not exploit anyone.

but, you can pay people (who are desperate) to do things they might not ordinarily do.

depictions that do not elevate the human spirit, that degrade, that are unhealthy, and that ARE exploitative IMO.

heck, you can even get ccbill to handle the processing.

does it make the world a better place? methinks not.

the original poster has a valid point that is missed by many here.

I'd be willing to bet it's more than some. So if you're filming girls KNOWING that at least SOME are probably going to regret these choices they're making as young adults later in life, are you not at least exploiting SOME girls?

Personally, I say exploit the stupid. You want to sell your dignity at $100 an hour, have at it princess.

Many do BUT why do they regret it? Because of society's hypocritcal and laughable puritanism - go look at Dawson Miller - she loved shooting, she loved showing off and play acting and being a teasing hottie.

I've never thought of porn, nudity, sexuality as anything but a normal healthy fun part of life. To surrender to the fucking hypocrites and religious wackjobs who rant and rave about exploitation by the porn industry is tantamount to agreeing with them.

Daddy will jack off to skin mags and fuck videos but when he find out it's his daughter - oh my what a disgrace - it's ok as long as it's somebody else's daughter. A hypocrite.

DatingGold 01-06-2008 04:04 PM

I don't exploit women

ShaveBucks 01-06-2008 04:09 PM

If they didn't want to be exploited, they wouldn't do porn.

sinclair 01-06-2008 04:28 PM

I dont exploit women, I leave that to the agents and suitcase pimps.

mydaisydukes 01-06-2008 04:43 PM

From someone who has been content and has also shot content AND has worked the cams I have to say that very few women these days are exploited anymore.

Definately some are, there is no way to argue that. Mostly these are women that are addicted to drugs and are too emotionally messed up to be making these kinds of decisions or the barely 18 year old girls who are drunk at the bar and go back to someone's place. I think it is wrong of content producers to take content in this context but in my opinion the vast majority of women become content by CHOICE during moments of SOUND MIND.

I don't think they are being exploited at all. Even women who are down on their luck have a choice and if they choose to do something that makes them feel badly about themselves, well there is nothing we can do about it. We are just offering them that opportunity to earn the money that they need.

What makes you think they are selling their dignity? Some women honestly have no problem with thinking of pornography as a job.

Xrated J 01-06-2008 04:53 PM

no........

dav3 01-06-2008 04:58 PM

Title should read, "Do you feel bad for exploiting customer's CCs?"

Yes, some women for sure. I have no doubt there are some women who enjoy being in porn, might do it even if there were no payday, and are probably not compromising any of their own personal morals.

You're going to have a hard time convincing me that it's MOST, however.

Sure, but we live in a World where more than 80% of the population identify themselves as being religious. The number is similar for US population, too. Doesn't make it right, but it makes it what it is.

scottybuzz 01-06-2008 05:07 PM

exploiting men with credit cards, not women 0.02

Amen to that. Pretty much every girl I've ever shot loves what I did for her, and they usually want to shoot again Of course I shoot glamour more than hardcore and put them in the best light (literally).

As a side note, here's an interesting quote from Kahlil Gibran's classic book "The Prophet". It's treasured and read by many Christians.
Quote:

On Clothes

And the weaver said, "Speak to us of Clothes."

And he answered:

Your clothes conceal much of your beauty, yet they hide not the unbeautiful.

And though you seek in garments the freedom of privacy you may find in them a harness and a chain.

Would that you could meet the sun and the wind with more of your skin and less of your raiment,

For the breath of life is in the sunlight and the hand of life is in the wind.

Some of you say, "It is the north wind who has woven the clothes to wear."

But shame was his loom, and the softening of the sinews was his thread.

And when his work was done he laughed in the forest.

Forget not that modesty is for a shield against the eye of the unclean.

And when the unclean shall be no more, what were modesty but a fetter and a fouling of the mind?

And forget not that the earth delights to feel your bare feet and the winds long to play with your hair.

Mutt 01-06-2008 05:40 PM

weird timing for this thread - a girl who was going to start shooting for a solo site in two weeks called and the poor girl is having nightmares about it all - she's ok with being shot for magazines but the solo girl site scares her.

solo sites are going the way of the dodo bird i think - American girls anyway - just too much spotlight for them.

farkedup 01-06-2008 05:42 PM

The problem is that unless one of the main things to represent porn in mainstream media will be the abuse shit such as Max Hardcore does, you will have a hard time to justify that you don't "exploit" anyone.. :2 cents:

exactly. they're exploiting man's urges and desires for monetary gain, while really not offering any real working skill. so fuck it. you could say grocery stores are exploiting our hunger too. exploitation in porn is a joke.

shermo 01-06-2008 06:18 PM

It goes both ways. They earn $$ that at the same time, that they might not have otherwise. How they choose to spend/save is their business.

It really is a give and take industry. Sure the stakes are different than in most industries, but people know what they get themselves into when they enter the porn world.

It's their choice. So I wouldn't call it exploitation. They knew exactly what they were getting into.
