What does the age of this thread have to do with anything? It isn't like sigs are grandfathered in.

Not only is she gorgeous, she is honest and a sweetheart. I used to do some temp work for her ages ago. She would never intentionally cause anyone angst.

Hollywood Horwitz 01-07-2008 04:16 PM

good luck to you Sunny!

Odie 01-07-2008 06:42 PM

Our personal life is just that. She decided to take that public and that was her choice.

But the fact is that I will still support her and help her in any way I can.

I did add the code, and never once was there a problem with affiliates getting credit for their sales to her site. No where in her terms when you sign up for her program does it say that you will get credit for popunder sales, also there is a linking code without the popunder that can be used in her program.

So I think you guys seriously need to learn how to read before you start typing.

If it was meant to be a popunder, I think it was implemented incorrectly. The code was taking over the parent window and coming up over the main site. That's with IE though, didn't check it in Firefox. Not tryint to start anything, just saying that I think the code may be incorrect if there are plans to use it in the future.

hijacked FF as well. I'm really not understanding how it can be viewed as a possible mix up... the code is very different from a pop under/over and when tested would show the creator exactly what it was doing. So I call bullshit on the "Ooops" reasoning/excuse :2 cents:

Nats has a cookie and her sign up links on the blog are NOT HARD CODED to a new affiliate ID example http://secure.sunnyleone.com/signup/signup.php
So the affiliate that sent the RSS subscriber is getting credit for the sale.

Sunny Leone 01-07-2008 10:45 PM

Eric is right. He never took any money from me. He helped me out and directed me on the right path. My site would not have made it this far if not for him.

But he did put up this under popup and it has been taken care of.

I think this thread is way to long by the way.

:helpme A simple popunder with no affiliate credit would be a major traffic leak and a slap in the face for affiliates.

Who does that nowadays and still has affiliates?

I've seen a few programs, mostly per email or per click with exit pops where the affiliate gets no or partial credit but show me a known solo girl site or well known program that would do this with a popunder?

But as has been clearly explained several times, what that code did by replacing the parent window is a browser hijack, not an "innocent" popunder, is actually worse than zango and therefore is a much nastier thing to do to an affiliate.

Saying it's not in the terms that we can't do this does not make it ok and is a pretty weak cop out. "We won't anally rape affiliates" isn't in the terms either but should it be for affiliates to feel secure?

If you honestly feel there is nothing wrong with having that code there, why isn't the code back up there then as you must have known exactly what it does and felt it would benefit her site, so not having it must be hurting her site then? :helpme

DatingGold 01-08-2008 08:02 PM

Anyone that thinks they did it on purpose probably doesn't even have traffic. Give Eric and Sunny a break. I hope you guys are doing well.

madfuck 01-08-2008 08:12 PM

well good luck, peace out

pip 01-08-2008 09:27 PM

Sunny wouldnt do anything intentional like this, any good webmaster would have emailed/icq/called her to let her know before blasting her on gfy

:throwup <--Eric

lemosbiz 01-09-2008 05:52 PM

Impressive as many webmasters comply with what happened...
Sunnysmoney STOLE visits and sells for all affiliates and she need to be in the cheaterlist of any serious webmaster
I never support this program, but if did, when I see the hijack code this galleries was deleted from my database and never use it again
when someone work for / with yourself do some junk you are made responsible by that,
choose a partner is a very important step in the business if she don't choose very well your partner is not my problem and her "say sorry about that" don't recover affiliates looses
Well... in my opinion Stay away from this sponsor

hateman 01-09-2008 06:08 PM

wow, that marriage did not last long

Sunny, why did you dump poor Eric?

Exactly!

mrkris 01-10-2008 12:43 PM

Erics intentions could have been good or bad. Perhaps he was merely ignorant on the difference between pops and hijacking?

Either way, a formal apology would be the best way to save face. Stealing, whether on purpose or accident, whether the amount of traffic or sales, is still stealing.

Looking from a district attourney angle

one could say..

1. Breakup? gives motive to needed quick cash
2. Contradictions to sales being tracked, why would a popup change
the tracking code on the original tour pages to yet a different one?

MicDoohan 01-10-2008 09:09 PM

the facts are on the table and the damage has been done
