The only rums allowed in our house are Appleton Extra, Mount Gay Extra Old, and for lighter tastes, Brugal. In a pinch, Pusser's and Cockspur will also do. There are also some great local island rums that are not for export anywhere that we enjoy when we sail in the Caribbean.
Things like Bacardi, Captain Morgans, Lamb's, etc., should never be around people who truly understand and love rum ;) Carol xoxoxo |

I should point out that the Appleton Extra and Mount Gay Extra Old are not allowed to be mixed with anything at our house. At the most, we'll serve it over ice. We keep a bottle of Appleton V/X on hand for those Rum & Coke people ;)
JFK, next time you're in Montreal, come on over to our place and enjoy some fine rums :) Carol xoxoxo |
