This is a mandatory ISP side content filter for porn and violent websites that will be included in all ISP plans. Do not confuse this with filtering software. Websites are instead blocked at the ISP level.

What will this mean for the following sources of traffic?...

- Young men still living at home.
- College students.
- Married men whose wives are against porn.
- Men who are too ashamed to request that the porn filter be shut off.

Luckily this sort of thing has already been struck down in the US since it inadvertently nets educational websites.

Well.. in that this industry is totally incapable of governing itself, I can see that happening in the U.S. soon as well... and probably other countries..

Today?s announcement by Telecommunications Minister Stephen Conroy states that the censorship regime will be mandatory, although people will be able to opt-out of it.
