Reasonable rate for (non-cam) chatroom flirt employees?

What do you folks think is a ballpark reasonable hourly rate to pay someone to hang out in a members chatroom during less than peek hours to make sure people have someone sexy to talk to? This would be a non-cam position, just someone there to talk to lonely members who might not be getting the love they need. Potentially including some admin responsibilities like keeping an eye out for illegal/questionable activities and such.

That would be a dollar below minimum wage here tomorrow (Jan 1, 2008) so I think we'd have to go outside the state or country for that matter to pay that little these days. That is certainly an option though. Essentially, you're saying that it doesn't sound like a particularly high paying position, yes?

I pretty much agree on that point of view. The question wasn't how little could someone get away with paying, but what would be a reasonable range. The early conclusion being that even on the high end, so far it's looking like 10 to 11 would be a reasonable starting range.

I have the perfect solution at our office.
