Some of us care about the longevity of the business, not just a quick buck. Spam in reality hurts us all in the long run...

I don't see telemarkters (phone spam) hurt anything in over 30 years.

I've always worried about bulk spamming adult sites to millions of e-mail addresses as there is no way to verify the age of the e-mail recipients you are sending to. I know many say that there lists are opt-in and so forth but I get a shitload of adult junk mail to a few of my e-mail addresses I have never given out.

In reality you could be spamming a big cock sex site to some 12 year old kid. And that certainly isn't cool in my book.

I don't bulk e-mail but occasionally I shop at bulk food stores like Sams Club. Does that count for anything?

yeah that's a strong point.. Only you forget that an average surfer get's 10 email spams a day and maby 1 phonecall per week at the most.

And that spamming is illegal, your breaking the terms of service set by the sponsor.

Some sponsors have "special" terms for spammers who can deliver big time ;-)
