Is this going to be 2008?

People looking for work and telling us they are making so much money and have time on their hands. Me I just relax with the spare time I have, no need to go find further employment.

You get cynical when you reach my age.

No I am saying most of my stuff is automated, with a few pay sites that have few if any affiliates and a good CMS there is maybe an hour worth of work per site per week max.
I use professional writers on my blogs, they just seem to do it better than me and it makes me more than it costs me.
I have someone that goes to the assorted VOD, clips sites and the like and add new scenes for sale for me, for a small percentage of sales.

Now not once did I tell anyone of how much money I make. I just had a major operation, I have no medical insurance. My operation and near 8 day stay was at Standford University Medical hospital so it was not cheap. Though beating bladder cancer and not getting a letter saying you may be dead in the next month to five years is worth every penny. I do however have a typical standard of living that I would rather not adjust. I have already worked out a payment plan with Standford and I know that monthly number that will show on my bills. So instead of being out an extra 2k a month and having to change my standard of living for myself and my wife and also possibly scale back my sites and even worse let some people go that I employ. I decided to find myself another job that would cover at very least the medical bill, though it did much better than that.

I was bluntly honest and you can be as cynical as you desire. I personally feel it was the best choice for me and honestly. I love working for other programs every so often. You get new perspectives, you get to try different soft wares, you make new contacts, you got something new to keep your mind going and staying fresh. In essence I get to be paid to experience something new and help some people out in the process.

I think when you see program owners looking for work or people getting laid off then there is problems. Someone who works for themselves like ASM does in this case looking for extra income, i don't think means things are going to shit across the board.
