Hey Everyone, let's keep fucking ourselves!!

I have been reading a lot of post lately about all the free "tube" type of sites, and it really got me thinkng.

Here are the cliffs notes on how in the past 8 years this industry has shot it self over and over again?

We got into the adult side of things in '99 with our own personal website, it took off like we hit the lottery. The way to get traffic back then was hard link exchanges. We gave out one full size pic in our tour and that was it!! We only did link exchanges and shot content with other amateurs for members area exchanges. Conversions were around 1:15 to 1:20

Since then we have seen the industry repeatedly shoot itself in the foot. Along come friends pages? shittier conversions, but a little more traffic? well that wasn't shitty enough so along come toplist (which everyone cheated on) with even more shitty conversions, but a little more traffic, but that still wasn't shitty enough, so people started to give away portions of every update in the way of TGP sites (which often stole our content for themselves), with way shittier conversions but yet a little more traffic. Well that wasn't good enough for the industry so along come MGP sites, yes more free content and yes even shittier conversions.

So now here we are with the industry taking another giant leap into the more free content and even worse conversion. People tell us we need to adapt to the uporn, xtube, whatever tube mentality. Give away more and more free shit and hope that by the time the surfer gets done wacking off to thousands of full length videos, complete with insertion, cum shots, the works... that he will pull out his wallet and spend some money.

Then to top it all off, review sites tell their surfers that pay sites should offer zip files and no DRM just to make sure that the surfer has no reason to ever stay at that pay site.

So I guess the business model now is give away every piece of content you have for free, and make it so easy to quickly download all your content that the members who have paid have no reason to stay a member.

Anyone else see anything wrong with this business model?

Pretty shitty indeed lol - i try to do the opposite. Some stuff i have to do ( a number of toplists) - but i dont do any exchanges, no free full sized tour pics, 1 sample video that stays the same for about a year at a time, 1 tgp every 6 months.....etc etc.

Easy content download......forget it. I do everything do stop people taking what will effectively keep them recurring.

Im also a sharing/torrent/tube forum whore and will literally get anything i can removed.

One day, all paysites will be free. Then I bet they'll start converting 1:15 again.
