Not a good one Ive been to other boards and they are very tame to the point of boring.I think probably 70 percent of gfy doesnt work in adult. -
What I think is, GFY is like a entertainment club .. where most members are webmasters, and since most of them are adult webmasters, they do talk about web and adult sometime. Just like two people from same profession will talk about their shit, wherever they are.
Otherwise, its just a fun point for jokes, would you hit it, i fart, and copied news articles type of threads.

I think for the most part GFY is the best example of Adult Webmaster Amateurs. I mean I think many of you want to be in the biz, and maybe run 1 site of some sort for fun.
Very few here I think will be around within a year and even fewer after a couple years.

I'd concur with the above statement.
In the ten years doing online I've seen a lot come and go. Some new flashes in the pan every year. Always some new drama here or there. The one constant is change.
As for this board representing.. that's tough.
For those more experienced, I think it's easy to see who the fresh fish are despite their claims. I would say 80% of the board are either surfers, pay check players, keyboard warriors, or beer money barons.
i.e. a lot of small fries.
When you go to do any serious business, you see how shallow some of these 'kings of industry' are. On the boards, and in chat, they are pimp daddy high roller. Talking like they are big shots, and all the rest. Much like online women talking as if they are Heidi Klum when they are closer to Medusa.
In real life, they have a few grand to their, or their company's name. But not much beyond that. They will tell you about all the affiliates they have, and how they are this and that. But when it comes time to cough up the cash, they are a notch or two above the beer barons.
That said, there are two sides to the gfy. That which is true, and most who've been around know. And then there is the facade.
But it's no different then any other board, even mainstream. Except I would say adult has more full time webmasters, and real money people than mainstream on the whole. Who have a few king fish, and the rest are all guppies waiting on the tablets from Shoebitch.
If you want to see the very definition of no money, big talkers. Check out mainstream where they'll stab their mother in the back for a nickel.

I scan the threads, read a couple and rarely post. However, comparing GFY to most of the shows I have attended is pretty close to the truth.
So many promises, so little delivery and its probably their delusions as to their ability and capacity to deliver more than "snake oil".
Many are masters of the pitch and rather than deliver as promised and keep clients they just keep pitching....shame the focus on Pitching and $'s in doesnt match the performance on service promised.
You have to read some of the emails and hear some of the stories to believe. Simply amazing and GFY mirrors the same pursuit of quality.
The buyer needs to be very careful.

GFY is a poor reflection of the industry as it's full of fake nics flinging shit, spreading rumors, shit talking keyboard warriors, etc..
