Good steakhouse / seafood in Vegas?

Looks like we headed to Vegas at the end of Jan with some friends to celebrate her bday. Trying to get ideas on a few good meals. Anyone recommend a good steakhouse and a good seafood place?

My favorite steakhouse in Vegas is Gallagher's in the NewYorkNewYork. Ask for Flip to wait on you.

It's the first meal I'm planning on having when I get into town on Jan 12th for Internext.

China grill at Mandalay Bay had great seafood. Jasmine at the Bellagio was decent. Capitol Grill was good too, though it's a chain.

I agree with Smith & Wollensky's - Always great steaks. I have had a decent one at AJ's, but the atmosphere at S&W is really great... Total boys club/old school Vegas vibe. Delicious...

Smith & Wollensky on the strip is a must. You will want to try their mac and cheese (don't laugh, it is the bomb, and I don't even do mac and cheese) and the Wollensky salad.

people that believe that outback is a good representation of Australian food are the same that think they get an authentic mexican experience when they go to taco bell.

Oh, and a bloomin onion has like 2500 calories in it.

I can't remember the name, but theres a Steakhouse in the corner of the lobby at Bally's that is outstanding. I've been there three times over the years and I've always had an excellent dinner. It has the feel of a old time steakhouse... great side dishes and very good beef.

Mesa Grill at Caesars has a really great coffee-spice-rubbed filet mignon. The blue corn pancakes and the tiger shrimp tamales are awesome too.

Go to Sushi on Tropicana for an all you can eat sushi blast. They specialize in exotic rolls and the meal come with a complete Japanese menu.

Great food and great value.
