Cool. I just got threatened!

So, there's this guy... Olivier Hufkens. He runs a site called Crucified Women, where he uses pics without permission. A dark site based on stealing peoples' graphics. We had a run-in a while back, when he was using my affiliate program but using unauthorized images from my sites.

Anyhow, I got CC on the following email... From him to Dark Dollars, CCing a bunch of gothic webmaster...

I got one of the best hummers of my life while "Ribbons" was playing.......

anyone else who has a problem with our exit consoles, simply build your own tour and send directly to the join page and voila, no consoles....we're going to start paying on console sales in the next few weeks.

If you don't feel creative and want to just copy our tour to your own server and remove the console code, by all means go ahead (just email me first). I'll make sure to check your linking code and ensure you're still sending to the right join page to get credit for your sales.

see, this is why some programs don't respond to webmasters they've terminated....I've now wasted an hour with this guy explaining if he has an issue with us, DarkDollars, he doesn't need to email his entire address book about the problem. Ian has nothing to do with DarkDollars other than being one of our top webmaster referrers.

Ian runs a great site and is one of those Sensitivity Police guys and doesn't deserve to be brought into a problem that an affilaite has with US.

Honestly I was thinking the same thing.

I got a few emails from Hufkens, I guess because I run a dark fetish tgp in my network, and he's probably submitted galleries to me before. This looks like a misunderstanding from what I can tell. Hufkens is confused at the best of times. That just proves that this is a misunderstanding (largely on his part but not all), and it's really kind of laughable when you think about it.

Again, it's not worth making a big bad issue out of this. None of the emails I saw said anything like him telling other webmasters not to join darkdollars.

yeah, I got a lovely exchange of emails cc'd to me, between you and him...

his problem with our consoles should not have been directed at Ian....

What he did (by CCing everyone) is a disruption of business. I've sent him a follow up email explaining that it's our policy to investiagte any allegations of content theft. Most any other sponsor has that same policy....

I also gave him the option of simply dropping us...not that hard to do....I also further explained how he could send his traffic to alternate tours or pages to avoid the consoles....I run the program fairly, but I also have very little bullshit tolerance...

We've had several attempts by other goth sposnors to smear our sites and programs and after awhile it starts getting old and pissing you off...

I take back the kiddy porn thing. I do not know that he is peddling child pornography. All I know is that he told me himself, in the past, that he was in trouble with the law, accused of having child porn on his site. Innocent until proven guilty-- but not smart enough to take MET off his site after going to court.

My biggest beef was the CCing in of all those other people....

Gothweb -- I know all too well how tough it is to run a dark fetish site. There are still a lot of webmasters in that genre that grab content without asking. Look at fuckhead Stile, he's been known to grab a movie or two from time to time from other sites. He was caught using one of my producer's movies without authorization about 3 years ago.

Anyway, I guess you either can everyone who even slightly violates your TOS or you accept the traffic they send and get on with it. Did you can him?
