I went boarding today at Northstar @ Tahoe. Snow was OK, not great by any stretch.

Right on!! I am going this Saturday and then on the 31st for New Years.

My first season, but it is a blast. After the first 4-5 times... it just clicks..

Very nice board! I don't think I'll ride at all this winter since I'm recovery from an injury. I'm somewhat jealous! Was it you that asked about what to look for in a board-fix-boots in another thread?

Nice board.

I used to be considered cool because I had an original Burton board complete with fish tail. Now I'm just considered old.

Nope...no Magne traction... This is an all terrain board which is why I bought it. I did a lot of research checking out the ratings of all boards before purchasing that. In the end, it had the highest marks across the board, and it was as light as a feather. It was a no brainer! As far as ever riding a Magne traction, there is no way I'm catching edges while jibbing...So no to magne traction!

That's a pretty sick looking board. Glad that Burton brought back the twin and also invested a little more time into graphics this year. Bards have been really basic for the past few seasons. I have a couple boards and they are all plain for the most part. The Salomon I got two seasons ago is basically all white and the writing is in white too, lol.

SHERM where do you ride that's close to Vegas?
Big Bear is about 2 and a half hours away.
Brianhead is about 2 and a half hours away.
We also have Mt. Charleston that is about 45 mins away...but it's only got 3 lifts.

Also, if I make a 4 hour trip, I'm at Snowboard, Park City or Mammoth.

Last year I went boarding weekly. I've still yet to hit the mountains this year though.
