    Free Hosted BLOGS ?

    Hello guys,

    How come i find so many bloggs hosted free (i.e thumblogger, blogspot etc.). It made me wonder if there is any difference nowadays if u run blogs on your domain & server or you just use thumbloggers or blogspot's or someones else free hosting and subdomain...

    With the free version you can collect SE traffic aswell like with paid domain etc... ? Ain't it ?

    It just made me think if i should use blogspot or whatsoever free version of blogging aswell :P ?

    What do u guys think? Is it better to stick with private hosting & your domains or go the cheapest and easiest way .... ? And what are the differences?

      free hosted blogs:
      * free
      * quick indexing and easy ranking because of the age and authority of the root domain
      * sometimes limited advertising and limited control of templates
      * you don't control your own content, the provider can pull the plug at any time

      own domain:
      * costs (a small amount of) money
      * slower to get indexed and ranked because of a brand new domain
      * can appear to be sandboxed at the beginning because of weighting factors against a new domain
      * unlimited advertising & design mods
      * at the end, you own a valuable domain/ property with it's own content, backlinks, PR and no one can take it away from you

              I don't trade with free shit... $8 to make $800 even with a shitty blog? Come on...

                  The domain was/is (notsomuchanymore) a google MONSTER. Granted the page or blog maker is as important. But i have several trades with free blogs at blogger and thumblogger.

                  I know guys i trade with that have 400-500 domain networks that STILL use the free blog domains to pass strength and trust onwards. yobt.com is a great example also, how many of their links are from free blogs? Quite a few if you look. thumblogger, blogbug, bloghub, sensualwriter.com

                  Being fearful of free systems is just an age old adult superstition. Embrace that shit, theres gold on some of them domains.

                  You cant buy that link power and domain weight for 8$. Its a totally valid way to pass link power.
