Dr. Paul is far from perfect. I agree with probably only half of what he stands for, yet that is enough for me to give him my vote (no, he's not going to win, but I'd be throwing my vote away on the other candidates anyway - like you said, they all have agendas). Most of his radical positions don't have a chance in Hell of coming to fruition even if he was to become President. Supporters just want to see some type of genuine effort for fundamental change in the bloated bureaucracy that Government has become.
There are things that can be done while in office like stopping the wastage of money on unwinnable wars. It's at least a start. It's actually comforting seeing anti-Paul websites springing up. It could mean that he is having some type of impact. And maybe it'll get more people investigating and judging for themselves. |

The fervent political energy being put into this is actually pretty admirable but will ultimately be a complete waste. You think just because he isn't going to win atleast you'll make a change right? Well you couldn't be more fucking wrong. Ron Paul tried this shit ten years ago and guess what he changed then? Not one fucking thing. Guess how much this shit will end up changing this go round? My money is on the same result. Nothing. You people need to shift your attention to a candidate that has a shot in hell and make your voices heard to them. Because this ron paul shit is nothing more than screaming at a brick wall.. Pointless. |
