My son pulled the fire alarm while at church today...
I dunno whether to be upset or thank him

He's only 2, they have a fire alarm 2 feet off the floor. How do you tell him he's bad when he's never seen a fire alarm before?

Fire codes prevent "pull boxes" from being installed that low. They are required to be much higher, so how did he really reach it?

It really was 2 feet off the ground. It was up in the balcony area where there was only a back wall.
I guess they figured the only place to put it was on the hand rail at the top of the stairs.

It's my understanding that "Fire Codes" are local, and differ from region to region.

There's nothing on the book regarding fire regulations at the federal level, I don't believe.
