I just witnessed Cirque du Soleil accident (pics)
my friend and i were wondering at the beginning how often accidents happen and we ended up seeing one. the show was going great for the first half (thanks to braincash for the tickets!), this was the original cirque du soleil show, the one that started it all- Saltimbanco
they had guys jumping off a swing into the air, do a few flips and land on a cushion/mattress that a few others were moving to make sure the person landed on it.  this one guy jumped way out, and was going to crash on the side of the stage when his colleague stepped in and absorbed the impact (the drop was from the height of about 20 feet).  poor guy, he was an older black dude, had probably the safest job in the whole show, his back must be fucked right now... ambulance carried him off |

they did a small announcement at the end, but it didnt sound very promising... said he's in good hands and his condition is stabilizing, but nothing about him being ok
