Again nothing new, I see tons of stolen content on Fling all the time. Of course their excuse is always "it must be a member doing it". Bullshit.

Unless members make their banners for them, they are thieves. They produce more content in a week than most of us that they steal from do in a month, so why not use their own content to promote themselves? Below is a banner using my copyrighted content.

Anyone who can confirm the rumour that they hit the free members heavily with upsells to their other sites (which the affiliate gets no credit for) before upselling them to a paid Fling membership?

I don't believe that my copyrighted content was stolen by someone who was a member of Fling, then uploaded the picture, then Fling just happened to feature it on a banner. And I don't believe that the banner I posted is one that rotates random content in.

And lets assume that all that is true, and that Fling is innocent, which I HIGHLY doubt, you using the excuse that "it is 2007 and there are torrent and tube sites" is a pretty terrible excuse.

It makes sense to me that Fling would put 'member' pics in rotation - the more clicks they get then the more they appear in that rotation.

That would explain the problem... however as they have been informed of this before they need to look at a new way of doing things, or they will get this all the time.

I cant see they would do this on purpose - I am pretty shaw they have a pretty large collection of pics themselves

It is always better to resolve this behind close doors. Bringing in an attorney gets costly, plus time and effort on your part. I have been sued and have sued people. The easiest way is to resolve this behind close doors unless the other guy is a complete asshole and unreasonable.

It would be very easy to create a database of "approved members", that would all be verified and incredibly hot, that would be used for the banners.

How do you know that you don't get credit for that?

If we did get credit for those signups it would explain why Fling converts free to paid at 1:10 for me whereas all the other personals sites I've sent traffic too never convert to paid memberships.

I understand what you're saying, but should he have to comb through Fling's enormous members area looking for photos of his models? Shouldn't Fling be the ones fighting the content theft?

I agree, if it were that easy. I am talking to another sologirl webmaster right now who is telling me that they've been having the same problem, and that "awhile back they were all about removing our stuff, but ofcourse its still up there".

Let me put it this way, if you had a sibling or cousin or whatever who always came into your room and stole something from you, the first time or two you might say "Hes family, I'll let it slide with me just telling him that I caught him and I don't want it to happen again". After it happened the 10th time, wouldn't you realize that your first appproach wasn't very effective?

Yeah, plus since I have registered the site and all images with the Library of Congress I am entitled to all attorneys fees, so in the end it would probably end up costing me nothing.

I am going to be heading back to Michigan for the holidays this afternoon, and since the weather is shitty there I'll have lots of time to talk to my attorney and see what he says.

The images used on promotional material are taken from pictures uploaded to profiles on Fling.com. We do not practice nor condone copyright infringement.

The proper way to handle this scenario would be to contact our 24/7 webmaster support team located here: http://www.hugetraffic.com/help.htm (there are emails and ICQs), or just email webmaster at hugetraffic dot com and provide an example of the images that you would like to have removed. They typically will be removed within 24 hours, but give it a couple of days if reported during the weekend.

You get more flies with honey...you know what I mean ;) hit me up on ICQ and we can get this issue resolved right away.

You think that was my excuse for that? I know how fling operates, I have seen it first hand, I know for a fact they arent looking for solo sites nobody has heard of and stealing the images from them. This is not some operation run out of Moms basement.

Do I think its shitty that this girl keeps getting in fling? sure, but are they doing it? No. She is your average looking nextdoor girl that people are probably using to message members claiming she needs money for college etc. Some members are probably dumb enough to send money, so the behavior always continues.

Go to rapidshare or any other service and search for any bangbros video, you will see it listed over 100,000 times, do I cry and make 100,000 threads for each video? No, Do I blame rapidshare? No, I am smart enough to realize that it's obviously not rapidshare and that it's some teenager with too much time on his hands, so I have someone contact them and it gets removed in 24 hours.
