I have been here a few times... it's in Old Vegas.. It is nice because your on the top floor surrounded by the city lights all the way around.
www.binions.com/dining/steakhouse.html Ran into Ron Jeremy there too :) http://www.sweetcamgirl.com/promo/gfy/vegas366.jpg |
Prime
Delmonico and even though I wasn't overly impressed with the steak at S&W, I would seriously go just for the mac and cheese. |

Nero's, the steakhouse at Caesars, is really good too. The Ribeye Lollipop, while not as barely legal as it sounds, is a fine cut of meat. Comes with a big bone for you to suck on. All yours for just $77.

Raffles at Mandalay Bay was good.

In Mandalay, Rum Jungle's interpretation of rodizio style eating is very good if you like your meat on the spicy side. Lots of great steak and places to eat in Vegas. I try to hit at least one new one everytime out. Delmonico is the most consistently good to me, I end up there every trip out. Smith and Woll is a chain, but very good, especially if you need last minute reservations and/or a big group, very accomodating. Steak is good, but go for the Mac 'n Cheese and German Chocolate cake (not necessarily together). Several decent seafood places in MGM. Emerils is good. I also highly recommend the lobster pot pie at Nobhill. Binions used to be excellent, I haven't tried it in at least 5 years since all of the ownership turmoil at the Horseshoe though. Luxor Steakhouse is also surprisingly good...and they're due for a makeover beginning of the year that will expand their menu. Lots of cool new stuff in Luxor as they work their way thru their makeover. Gallaghers at NY NY is good, but doesn't compare to it's namesake in NYC. Places I *do not* recommend: Charlie Palmers (worst dining experience i've ever had in vegas at a high end restaurant) Stripsteak -- michael mina needs to stick to seafood, not horrible, but not up to the expectations of that price point. In fact, Mandalay Bay in general kinda sucks for food other than Burger Bar and Rum Jungle. |

Doesn't mean the steak is bad. |

China Grill at Mandalay bay is far better than either of the the places that you mentioned, as is Fluer dis Lis. I'd go to Rum Jungle for drinks, but not to eat again. Charlie Palmers is the denny's of "upscale" dining, and is no where near high end. |
still lookin
so bumpin to the top |

House specialty BONE IN RIBEYE cooked medium is the best piece of meat on the planet--BAR NONE--every year like clockwork.... |
Don't laugh, but the Barbary Coast has some awesome prime rib...and it's only about 10 bucks.
|
I'd try to get into the Charlie Trotter restaurant at the new Palazzo.
