Considering we flew our first manned mission roughly 40 years ago... and 40 years before that we barely had commercial aircraft that could make it from coast to coast... I think it's foolish to assume that we don't have the capability to make routine Lunar missions 40 years after the first manned trip.

If we can't I think we failed as a species.

You don't think these daily launches might be noticed . . . . by someone . . . . somewhere?

Oh, and 40 years ago we did not have commercial flights coast to coast? Really?

Re-read my post. I think you misread.

Remember, we are now talking about the same agency that just happened to miss two jumbo jets flying into the middle of Manhattan.

I think anything is possible with government agencies.

Other than the FAA I don't think we have many non government outfits that would be able to monitor the globe for air travel.

I don't put much stock in conspiracy theories, but I do know that the level of secrecy in the Gov towards the world knows no bounds. I won't assume something isn't possible is there's reasonable doubt.

After 3 minutes the plate in my head started to vibrate.

BradM 12-19-2007 03:58 PM

I did some research as the nutfucks here suggest all the time.

Philip suggested his father was a Uboat commander and was repatriated to the US and later worked on all sorts of special projects with the US.

"Kptlt. Otto Oscar Schneider on US secret projects

There is a story floating around that this said U-boat commander worked on some highly classified US National Secrets after the war. I believe he is reported to have been a commander of a VIIC or IXC U-boat in the Atlantic during the war.
The simple answer to this one is that there was no U-boat commander in WWII with that name. Only 2 commanders with that last name in the war; Herbert Schneider died while in command of U-522 and Manfred Schneider only commander the small XXIII boat U-4706 for the last 3 months of the war, never on patrol. This story is just that, a story. "

dready 12-19-2007 03:59 PM

I've met that guy. He's a trip. Didn't know he died.

Ever hear the phrase, flying below the radar?

And yeah, I am sure we have the "capability" to fly space missions daily, but they would not go unnoticed. I can tell you when Vandenberg shoots off a missile and they 170 miles away.

I can also tell you when the space shuttle lands at Edwards and that is 130 miles away.

People would notice if this was happening daily somewhere.

BradM 12-19-2007 04:10 PM

What if they are using stealth technology and launching from an underground base?

It is a fact that governments keep great technological advancements a secret (sometimes for decades) to have an upper hand in national security. Naturally this information is going to leak out, but the public will not believe any of it since it is inconceivably better than what is available commercially.

And if you don't think governments kill people for going public with secrets, talk to this guy.

The material used to kill him was rare and deemed to have cost $3 Million for the single hit. So right there is a confirmed fact that it happens.

who 12-19-2007 05:34 PM

The guy talks about 'the reptile race' of aliens.

Now, how fucked up could you be to have to believe something like that?

Reptilemen ? Intelligent reptiles with interstellar space travel capabilities? Reptiles?? Like, lizardy men? REPTILES????

Sorry but this monkey brain of mine just can't handle such ridiculousness.

And when we are able to travel to other planets, their inhabitants may say something similar.

However, ya'd think that with each of these myriad bases with 1.5 to 2k employees per base and underground tunnels with Mach 2 trains flying from coast to coast and all the geologists and construction peeps that they had to use in the whole thing - with one in thirty of them being trained in E.T. combat scenarios... and casualties in Canada regarded as "Canadian heros" because of their interaction with the aliens - deathbed confessions - etc... more than just one guy would be stepping forward...

I mean, someone other than a single geologist who left Government service on bad terms and seems to somehow know just about _everything_.

yep, one blabber mouth ruined it for everybody :(

here's the recipe for appealing to conspiracy theorists

first. --- cite about 5% known/verifiable facts

second. --- refference known, popular conspiracy theories (area 51 etc)

third. --- make up a lot of insane shit.. some sort of plausible, some
completely rediculous

fourth --- keep peppering the conversation with "listen, don't take my word for it, do your homework, do some research"

fifth. --- if the audience has made it this far, you now have a license to say anything you want... so don't hold back.... describe the aliens in detail, talk about them, their personalities, their agendas, their politics, how they control the UN

he's a genius.

not crazy at all.

I haven't listened to the lecture so I can't give my opinion on his validity one way or the other but what in the HELL is so unbelievable about going out into space to mine and process minerals?

The space shuttle goes up all the time and I don't even pay attention...they mention a launch on the news and that's about it....And there is proof of water on mars so it's very plausible that there could be other elements and minerals on Mars alone that's there for the taking...If I was the President or some other high ranking individual in this world, I'd have my company there mining the shit out of Mars and pocketing all of that money for myself....You don't have to believe in UFO's to believe that shit is going on...

BVF 12-20-2007 09:44 AM

Now that I'm thinking about it further, you know how many big ass rocks are flying around in space? Who's to say that some of those meteors aren't full of diamonds and some other meteors have some form of iron? You could go on and on...If water can be found on places other than Earth, then why can't other things?

ThreeXes 12-20-2007 09:47 AM

damn.......i spent a couple of hours watching the vids.......definitely food for thought.......and does anybody believe that our beloved US government does not tell us the whole truth and nothing but the truth.......we are constantly lied to by our government and receive incessant propaganda.......US = USSR!

i am usually really conflicted with you. you go after women that would make even a goat puke... but you always have very cool sigs.

you don't "pay attention" to the space shuttle? they go up all the time?

really?

if you have ever seen a launch, you would know that it can be seen from many hundreds of miles away. if you don't live under a rock, you know this couldn't possibly escape the attention of every government in the world, every university and god only knows how many amatuer astronomers.

so you can't buy into any particular conspiracy without either insisting there is new, almost magical technology in existence which can never be disproven (which is easy right? just point to secret military craft which is developed in secret which no one can deny... then just insist they have a death star orbiting Pluto)... or like the jackass in the video, you have to just skip right to the end and insist that the UN is ran by aliens which then negates all the little arguments about silly things like the laws of physics, known technology etc.

the video is basically Andy Kaufman style comedy where the joke is on the audience and those that believe anything he is saying. thats what makes it great.

really? they can keep anything quiet? the manhattan project wasn't "quiet"... it was a joint project between several governments. the specifics of some of the research might have been kept "quiet".

they can keep anyone quiet except the quacks that keep popping up insisting they worked in secret government installations, with top secret clearance that are out on the lecture circuit?

they can keep everyone quiet except those guys?

i'm confused... how do you simultaneously have this incredible ability for secrecy and not have the ability to stop people from going out on the lecture circuit and writing books about these "secrets"

ADL Colin 12-20-2007 10:18 AM

I think this video is a secret government conspiracy to make people lose IQ points. Seems to be working. I feel dumber already

We've all studied about the Manhattan Project in our history books.

I'd say it's far from a historical secret. :2 cents:

But this thing - involving 10 to 50+ times the amount of people over a span of time perhaps ten times as long seems to be battened down pretty tight... well - except for that one disgruntled geologist toting the 007 pistol. :winkwink:
