yeah and it barely can be heard on any news media. They would rather talk about which religious zealot is beating the path with no support.

I think you're going to see the largest young voter turnout in the history of the USA, and it wasn't because someone aimed their "campaign" at young people either.. It's because someone with some common sense and respect for US citizens came along. Imagine.

So what happens to all this money when he isn't elected? Seems like he's raised a ton of money so far and doesn't really have that much of a chance.

It goes to spread the message to millions of people about what some of the real issues are, and just maybe forces some of the other candidates to address them as well.

Obama and clinton dont have a chance but I guess your not interested in what they do with all the special interest money when neither of them win. Because they dont have a change either.

It's too bad many Americans can only see black and white, win and lose. There is no in between? Whatever happened to "good game, played well, it was close, we learned a lot today"

I'm a chess player, and always learn more from games I lose.. It feels good to win, but it feels way better to earn a draw against a better player, because you have a feeling of accomplishment.

Such a shitty argument to just say he won't win.

That's what they're saying here on GFY.. His support is growing daily... He's also going to have alot of the people who don't vote coming out for him.. He's going to bring new voters to the polls for sure.. I wouldn't say his chances are that bad..

Latest Gallup just came out a few days ago. Paul has dropped into a tie with Alan Keyes at 3%. Keyes raised a grand total of $23,000 last quarter.

Yoru choice. Nationwide polls conducted in December.

Gallup 3%. Position 6th
American Research Group 5%. Position 6th
ABC News/Washington Post 3%. Position 6th
CNN 6%. Position 6th
CBS/NY Times 4%. Position 6th
AP 3%. Position 6th
LA Times 5%. Position 6th

Average: 4.1%. 6th place

Huckabee is the Republican candidate who is gaining serious ground in popularity. Not Paul.

Huckabee is the Republican candidate who is gaining serious ground in popularity. Not Paul.
"As former chairman of the Interstate Oil & Gas Compact Commission, Huckabee worked with the 37-state coalition to develop energy policy and lobby Congress on energy matters, such as the regulation of oil and gas production. He also is known nationally for his focus on technology in state government. He created an automobile license renewal system that?s become a model for states across the country."

No wonder he is in front of those media driven polls. Hell just read about how he has his hands in oil and the all new federal ID cards.

NO THANKS

Many of these polls are BS. Does anyone actually examine their polling methods? I saw this Penn and Teller Bullshit about polling methods-

https://youtube.com/watch?v=If9EWDB_zK4

There are many ways to manipulate the numbers. And I believe they are only polling republicans who voted Republican in the last election (aka for GWB) which means, I could care less about who those people vote for. I have heard that they also only call LAN phone lines (no cell phones). More skewered stats.

I would really like to see the actual question they asked, how the people were allowed to respond (was someone's name mentioned first or was the list randomized?), and more details on the poll. This gallop poll is supposedly "scientific" but it looks like a black box to me.

He's not. Giuliani is #1 in all those polls. "Media driven"? As opposed to what? Counting bumper stickers?

What did you look at that makes you think of it as a "black box"? Their questions and methodology are pretty public. Gallup, for example, rotates the choices so no candidate has a preferential orderering. They say so right on the results.

Here is the question Gallup asked.

"I'm going to read a list of people who may be running in the Republican primary for president in the next election. After I read all the names, please tell me which of those candidates you would be most likely to support for the Republican nomination for president in the year 2008, or if you would support someone else. . . ."

hahaha Colin, check out this

Why Ron Paul is low in the polls

https://youtube.com/watch?v=whptaVhCtWc

Ron Paul is sure going to surprise a lot of people, Iowa independent reckon he's 3rd in Iowa and can improve that if he can get the vote out and get them to the caucus on a freezing cold night... New Hampshire independents will vote for Paul and NEVADA loves Ron Paul so he's in a good position imho

Colin:

Rasmussen poll has him at 7% nationally. if you really think he's polling the same as Alan Keyes who has raised about $20,000 when Paul has raised over $20 MILLION then your deluded. he is in double digits in SC according to the latest CNN poll and is 9% in New Hampshire

Ron Paul on Morning Joe also answers the question about the polls directly:
https://youtube.com/watch?v=alxjl4IjZ9k

Alan Keyes also doesn't get on the front page of CNN

That's just another sign of his growing popularity. CNN has caught on that's he's hot and when they do stories on him they get a lot of eyeballs on their sites and station.

Rebel,

So if you ignore the average of all the major polls and instead look at Paul's best performance in the states he is polling his very best in basically 9 out of 10 people aren't voting for him. 5%, 7%, 10%. What''s it matter? He is a deep dark horse and he is not gaining ground. Huckabee is the one gaining ground right now. He appears to be so in both the polls and the news.
