Oh I am sorry, I was talking out my ass...

it has a mint flavor, but it also numbs your mouth and throat to make it easier to take a drag. It is also much worse for you than non-menthol cigarettes.

cuz when it numbs your throat you take in more smoke than you would with a normal cigarette. So basically you smoke more. It has also been suggested that it's harder to quit smoking if you smoke menthols.
