"Barack Obama is a once-in-a-generation candidate," said Chris Hughes, co-founder of Facebook and online organizer for the Obama campaign to Keene State College students in Morrison Hall on Nov. 13.

Hughes, 23, invented the social networking Web site with his Harvard roommates at age 19 and has been working with the Obama campaign since February. He spoke about both Facebook and the presidential hopeful and how they are connected.

"These are two entities that are incredibly well-known and poised for success. The strength of both is only a result of people reaching out to their peers," said Hughes.

Hughes also noted that although Facebook does not endorse the Obama campaign, his political views do not differ from the other founders.

he stil wont win his party.... Oprah, Facebook, he could even have myspace.... he is not winning the Democratic party....

It's gonna be amusing to watch him and hillary rip each other apart during the primaries. They are going to do so much damage to the party that it likely could be at least 4 more years of a republican.
