Have to admit that while it sucks that we have never evolved above the mentality of club wielding thugs... I do have a problem with religious groups that go places to 'help the poor locals' when it is just one big recruitment drive.

i know quite a few christian people. just like anything else, you have your variety of people. the typical stereotype amongst christian people is that they openly look down on a person for beliefs that they don't agree with + try reel people in their church so it can get bigger... that is actually very true, its sad because the christians who do that aren't true christians. trust me on this, i know christian people who are just as cool as anyone on this board. they keep their ideas and beliefs to themselves, they don't force it on anyone, and they don't condemn people for contradicting ideas. if you talked to them you wouldn't even know it. i'm not trying to support them because i'm not a christian, but im jus tellin ya how it is.

I went to Catholic school until high school.

I know Christians all too well.

Had a Catholic priest from Czech come from around the world to take up his pulpit in front of me and my classmates 3 times a week claiming whoever wasnt catholic would burn in hell. he drove a Saab.

We were told to stand upon any priest entering our class room at any time, I refused then as I refuse this now. I was reprimanded my entire childhood for challenging the very beliefs I was being told if I didnt believe I would burn. Catholicism.

I have seen some of the most miserable and most hateful persons use their religion to disciplince children into their own faith.

These are the same christians.

yes fletch... i believe that. the people i do know who happen to be very intelligent and are christians (yeah yeah a contradictory there :P) tell me about christians like that and they have the totally wrong idea. the bible can be interpreted in many ways and thats how ya get these fucking weirdos. theres also proof that the bible hasn't been properly translated so a lot of christians are following false concepts. but the ones who aren't blind enough to acknowledge this are totally cool people.

Yeah, most christians deny any falsehood in their book. Even though its just a retold story.

I have read and studied too much on John the Baptist himself and the Knights of the Templar to give any credit to the BIble as it is now.

I have the *other parts of the Bible* and have read much on the original parts of the bible. If anyone doesnt believe their book was bigger and it was "edited down" is silly.

Man changes whatever it can, and religion is no different.

Christians have an awful track record of persecution and damnation, let them taste their own medicine I suppose.
