Thought it takes a long time to get a US Passport

Finally got around to applying for a first time US passport. I've heard and read that there's a long wait for them. Being near the Canadian border I wanted to have one on hand.

I dropped off my application and stuff on Nov 15th at the local city hall to be forwarded to the right place..no special handling, etc. I received my passport today...3 weeks later. Even the website says 4 to 6 weeks. Are they wanting me out of the country fast or something?

PK

its back to normal. earlier they said that you must have passport to travel to mexico or canada.. here in houston it was mad house because of all latinos that go visit relatives across the boarder. took 6 months to get passport.
