Discuss what's fucking going on, and which programs are best and worst. One-time "program" announcements from "established" webmasters are allowed.

recurring vs pps ....

just curious on what most people like and dislike about both options..

pros/cons of recurring revshare vs paid per signups as an affiliate.
what do YOU prefer?

It depends. I like recurring/partnerships for sites that have original content or anoriginal concept (ie: OxCash, BOB, CFF, etc. etc)...w/ NO trial SU. The for cookie-cutter type sites (IE: ARS, MaxCash, etc.) I like the PSU...especially for TGP traffic.

That's in a nutshell, of course.

ok i understand where you are comming from, but 1 question. Do you prefer no trials on sites that you do recurring with to get a nice piece of the pie upfront? or does the no trial give you peace of mind that the member is going to stay longer since the surfer is willing to shell out big bucks upfront to get inside.. therefor more than likely will recurr longer??

Im just trying to get a feel from a sponsors point of view what webmasters are more interested in and what makes or breaks their decision on choosing between the 2...

One of the best tips I ever got.

GO RECURRING!

I switched over 90% of my sponsors to recurring and noticed a HUGE difference.

Go recurring all the way, you will thank me.

recurring is good if you can be patient and stick with the same sponser,, push a good recurring sponser for 3 months and you'll twice as much than per sign up

I agree. Recurring is the way to go.

Find an underpromoted site with exclusive content and it will retain members much longer.

I've promoted other 50% revshare sites before and found that my average member was worth $45 vs. $35 with a pay per signup sponsor.

What you have to remember is to give it time. It takes a while to start seeing the value. A lot of members will cancel in the first month, but there will be a good number that stay for a long time (like over 6 months).

well im on the other end of the stick.. I appreciate you guys responses to my question. Im not the affiliate, im the sponsor

But from my own experience , I have done both. pps and recurring and i still get checks from flashcash from like 6 months ago so yeah recurring is great, and then you have those short term people that want the easy money pps, which i have done alot of aswell. I see advantages to both, but i would have to say that the money is in recurring for people that can manage to have patience.

My main issue is getting the webmaster to choose recurring rather than pps. It takes alot of capitol to pay webmasters per signup. But I feel I must offer both to keep up with the times and compete with the other programs out there.

I guess what I am saying is that i sure fucking would hate to get into a situation where your weekly payout to affiliates is MORE than you took in.

ofcoarse there is reserve to make it through a few months, but what do you do if you have to payout more that week than you have

I guess the obvious choice is to not do pps for awhile, but then you lose so many affiliates it just makes you think for awhile on the issue.

Recurring is the way to go for me if the sponsor doesn't have any options for the surfer to signup for a trial. Then recurring outpreforms per signup for sure.
