Blinded by China’s false statistics —Jonathan Power

McKinsey, the management consultancy, reports that only 10 percent of China's graduating engineers are good enough to work for foreign companies.

I found it searching Google news for "China bubble" articles. It was posted on many online newspaper websites in Pakistan, India, Gulf countries, China...etc.

I've been reading that Chinese communist government stats are bogus since the 1990s.

I was watching this documentary regarding China and all of the "Great Feats" they were building for the olympics in '08. Most, as are most olympic structures, designed to be a show of national pride and prowess...but what I found quite ironic is that most of the architects and head contractors were all from Europe or the states.

Three Gorges...I'll give em that one for sure.

China wouldn't be the first communist government to fudge the numbers for the sake of outward appearances.

the one child rule does simplify the fact that China will soon have many more old people then young. it will balance out when they eventually allow them to have more children, but until then they will have a huge problem with more retired people than people working. They will lose a lot of exportation because along with demand rising so will wages and when wages rise so will competition from other countries.
