What's the right format to put your user/pass into the address bar?

I check stats on my Moto Q and it's a pain in the ass typing in usernames and passwords in the fields every time.

Isn't there a way to put the user/pass into the address bar so I won't have to type it in everytime?
I've tried http://user:[email protected] but that doesn't work.

That's the right way, but some browsers don't support it.

Weird, I can't even get IE7 to support that on my PC.

The Moto Q tells me the url isn't formatted properly....and the browser on it doesn't remember passwords either.

Sucks.

I'm wondering if there's another format though because when I click a program in stats remote it opens the stats page and I'm already logged in.

http://user:[email protected]/

No longer supported by IE due to the phishing emails using URLs like http://www:[email protected]/

Both IE and Mozilla derivatives have inbuilt password managers, did you disable yours?

It remembers passwords when it's just basic authentication, like say nastydollars stats...but for programs like naughty america where you have to input your user/pass into a form field on the web page...that's where it's a pain in the ass and I was hoping to be able to bypass that step.

There is no standard syntax for form based log ins.
There can be no standard syntax because there is no standard
about how form log ins work generally. Certainly their is a form
manager and a user/pass manager built into Firefox / Mozilla Seamonkey
which handles that beautifully and I'm sure they are available for
Internet Exploder.

This is basically Firefox for PocketPC:

Minimo 0.1 runs very sluggishly on my PDA (compared to IE), 0.2 crashes. Pity to see there hasn't been a subsequent release yet, the last time I tried would have been at least 6 months ago...

REGEDIT4

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\FeatureControl]

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\FeatureControl\FEATURE_HTTP_USERNAME _PASSWORD_DISABLE]
"iexplore.exe"=dword:00000000
"explorer.exe"=dword:00000000

but if you're on a PDA... I dunno if you can even access the registry
