Please help: Merchant account.

Hi All.

I was reading this board before and i know that you guys dont like newbees, but i have a problem and if somebody can answer a couple of questions it would be greatly appreciated.

I was in this biz for over a year and I had my merchant account.

But today it got canceled and because I noticed it only after 4:00 pm I was not able to speak with a customer service.
If anybody have a previous experience with this staff can you please tell me this:

1. Was it canceled as a warning (it was canceled for the first time) or was it canceled for good.
2. If it is canceled for good ? will I be able to get a new merchant account.

Thank you very much in advance.

I could possibly help you get one offshore if you want, i have some friends over at DCTI, but it is as much a gamble as whether you will get your merchant account back or not. (i mean DCTI hasnt been the most stable company, check their stock prices ovet the last 12-24 months.)

I am not asking you why I was canceled.

I know why i was canceled - probably for high chargeback persent.

I am asking you this:

1. Was it canceled as a warning (it was canceled for the first time) or was it canceled for good.
2. If it is canceled for good ? will I be able to get a new merchant account.

Hi,

who was the ISO or merchant provider who issued you the account?? i.e. cardservice intl., etc.

if you were canceled, and they submit your name and SS# to the Merchant terminated file, it will be tough to get another merch. account. Not impossible, but tough.

You might have to get one from a place that will charge you a higher % rate, and keep reserves, etc.

thanks

todd

Hi,

I see, your merchant bank was Humboldt.

One of the worst around in my opinion, they suck fees like there going out of style

Well if it's for paysites / membership sites, I would probably recommend a 3rd party processor anyways, I.e. ccbill.com

if it was for products, I would get another account before they put you on the list.

thanks

I know they suck real bad, they did not even contact me after they canceled the account. (and I am not even talking about contacting me before thy did it.)

Anyway thanks for your answer.
It is for paysite but the problem with using Ibill is that this paysite is for Mobile phones, so basicly I can not use Ibill (or any other processor) because all sign up is through wml pages.

I filled out the new application today and hopefully it will go through!

By the way if any of the processor guys wants to explore this new oportunity (billing for mobile phone sites) please contact me:

Alex,
Until you talk with your bank I'd chill your jets. Humboldt has off and on been getting out of adult, and the first thing you need to find out is if your specific EIN and info is tmf'd or if you are just a wave of their kills.

I'm sure that Mitch will jump in here any minute and spam lol, but I would talk to Melissa at ccbill or someone at your backup, assuming you have a third party backup asap -- Ibill, Epoch, whoever -

If you are on TMF, it's still possible that a third party might be able to help you -- you may not qualify for another account, but you may be eligible under the 'rehab' situation --

alextrop,

If you call me at the office tomorrow, I will call my contacts at Humboldt for you and find out what happened. Who was doing your processing, scrubbing, customer service ect...?

We may be able to help re-establish an account for you as well.

You can reach me after 10:30 AM PST at my direct line.
