Speeding ticket - $250
Pool - $35000
Wife - still mad that I was speeding

Maybe she was worried for your safety?

Also... why would you buy a pool in December? It's fucking freezing outside and I even live in California. Well congrats either way.

Don't you have friends for small talk, or are you just bragging?

Do the salt water pools save you a lot of money on heating? I know some people that have switched recently and have saved a pile of money.

Logically it would seem that would be the best time to get a deal, all the pool guys looking for work.

If you want to save money on heating get a solar heater. They are awesome. In the summer time my pool has gotten close to 100 degrees (max temp setting is adjustable). The solar heater adds several months to the swim season (at least in SoCal) and makes the summer months even better then normal.

Get ready to pay an additional $7,000... minimum....

Especially if it rains during construction.

I would never have a pool scheduled to be done in the Fall/Winter/Spring. You are just asking for rain delays and more money to pump water out of the pool, reinforce the falling muddy walls, etc...

I speak from experience and friends experiences...

So which is it? You would never do it, or you speak from experience because you did it?

Bah you still went with salt water over fresh water, plus added waterfalls. That will look sweet but boy you sure gunna get a lot of salt spread out around your yard. I would really make sure those small things are accounted for.

Nice job with the pool. It would be best if you can spend about $500 on a lawyer now to get you out of that ticket. I think the points it adds to your insurance would make that amount higher every year. So paying a small amount now to a lawyer would probably be best.
