thats the extent of frozen moving water possibilities... unless of course introduced to a much colder atmosphere than a river bed would allow...

as for the origianl pics in this threa.d... glaciers ... also in a sense... whether moved up from below or thawed out around.... mini(yet large) glaciers....

if you want to get down to it... a waves is not moving water at all... the onl movement is where it disperses at the end... in a 'crash'

a wave... is truly a wave... of energy flowing through the water...

It just passes through and then disperses and absorbs onto coastal sand beds...
