1) I called this.. warned about this yesterday in a post. This is not the market of the old days.. its the playground for hedge funds... They'll whip you, screw you and spit on you! Markets are manipulated 100% these days so you have to go with the trend! I would wait 3 months before jumping into visa!
2) Visa does not accumulate the debt unlike discover or american express. The banks visa does business with do. Visa only provides the transaction service , so in a sence during these credit crunch era .. its a safer play than amex or discover!

Quite right. However, the common man does not know that he is actually hurting his own bank when he fails to pay his CC. So... He is less likely to buy into visa.
This is normal especially with the current market situation. Do not expect this stock to shoot to 200 in 18 months, thats wishful thinking. When Mastercard came out the markets were much strong then they are currently are. I predict that Visa will go down to high 40s then in the next 18 months will be sitting in the 80-95$ dollar range
What happens is traders who get in on the IPO sell once it comes out then they take the short positions and make money by doing the reverse once the public is allowed to buy
Traders go in at 44 sold at 67 or something...turn around and short at 67 and made money since its sitting at 56 and change.
