We bought a real tree for our first Christmas tree in our house last year, but decided against it for this year.

Just put up a fake one this year and considering we dont have kids, its just the two of us, it looks great.

We had a death in the family this week, so I wanted to do it to change the mood of the week from grief to a little bit of family joy. It worked.

I need to invite mom over for dinner or something now

Its not the same here in Spain anyway - you dont want a big Xmas dinner in 25c.

My parents will be here for the 'Spanish Xmas' and my birthday on the 2nd January. That will do for me.
