AJ Feeley is the REAL deal

If anyone doubted it, look at the stats. He basically outplayed Brady the entire game. That interception with 3:58 was uncalled for but that's inexperience for you. For anyone who thoughthe Patriots were invincible, the Eagles have given every team in the NFL a "blueprint". Should be an interesting end to the season for the Patriots..

Inexperience? I think he has been in the league for 6 or 7 years.

That's not inexperience, that is just what Feeley does. As a life long Dolphin fan I can tell you that he makes a habit of throwing interceptions during crunch time. If I recall correctly he also set some kind of record for interceptions returned for touchdowns when he was our starter, and he threw another one tonight for the Eagles. He has a decent arm and some tools but I wouldn't want to have to rely on him as my starter...

Hmm...Interception on the third play of the game for a defensive TD that cost them enough points to lose a 3 point game - NOT good.

Two interceptions at the end - one to blow an easy chip shot field goal, and the other to cost them any chance at a win...

More like, AJ Feeley, real deal choker!

How did he outplay Brady? Brady had more completions and more yards. Brady only had 1 TD to AJ's 3 but he also had zero INTs to AJs 3. Brady managed his team better especially at the end of the game when it counted.

That being said the Eagles and AJ did impress me. I just don't think Brady was outplayed today.

Quoted for truth.

I am also a lifelong dolphins fan and I figured the least Feeley could do for us after all we've been through together was to beat the Pats so the Fins would remain the only team in history with an undefeated season.

As usual Feeley let the dolphins down.

Also, to the thread starter....a guy who's been in the league for 7+ years and is still a backup is not "the real deal"
I'm pretty convinced that it doesn't matter who plays QB for the Eagles...the same way it doesn't matter who plays running back for the Broncos.

My Mistake, I didn't know Freeley was a veteran. Honestly, it's the first time I've seen him play but he has taken it to Brady like nobody I've seen this year, and like very few people have in Brady's career. With this performance they should finally can McNabb and give this guy a chance. Yea he blew it in crunch time but for 95% of the game, he was outstanding.

This I agree with. I think this game exposes McNabb more than anything.

The only thing the game exposed tonight is that Andy Reid is a great coach, and Bill Belichick is an even greater coach, with even better players...

Philly played a great game, no doubt about it.
I think AJ Feeley needs to thank the Pats defensive coordinator for making him look so good.
Basically they decided to focus on Westbrook and not really worry about Feeley, so they played outside contain and left the middle of the field open all game, which is where Feeley made the vast majority of his completions.

Feeley is in the Gus Frerrote, Trent Dilfer, Kerry Collins, Brian Griese etc.. class of QB.
If you already have a good team and your starter goes down, he can keep your team above 500 until your starter returns......but you'll never be able to count on him to make your team better or carry your team the way you can with Brady, Manning, Bulger, etc.

Yeah I've always thought McNabb was overrated.

Apparently Andy Reid felt the same way on draft day when he took Kevin Kolb in the 2nd round. That's most likely who'll be starting for the birds next year.

Now, im going to preface my post with a disclaimer... I am a lifelong Pats fan.

The Pats played 90% of this game from a spread set featuring 4 wide recievers, and Kevin faulk a pass catching running back. The pats diddnt even try to run. They came out with the same formation, and ran the same plays, quick screens to welker, stallworth, faulk.

What you dont seem to understand is...this was PRACTICE for the pats. Granted Feeley did come out swinging, and so did Andy Reid, but the only reason this was a game was because the patriots were practicing.

Tom Brady has been quoted as saying this team is still building chemistry, between QB and recievers...and he is trying to get as much game reps with them as possible. Why else would they throw 50+ times.

Granted the Pats Defense showed some vulnerability, but they also showed the ability to make game changing and game ending plays. Westbrook had a 3.1 yard per carry average.

The pats are practicing, against the rest of the NFL. Come the playoffs....Just imagine what they do. Imagine what happens when they decide to play balanced football, and actually run the ball in the playoffs...

OK... im done....

At 3-8 this year, Raider fans are holding their breath.

Could we please have a new coach and new owner too...

Also, on a serious note, if you think the Pats were "practicing," you're fucking trippin'. They were not practicing. Yes, they were a bit "off," but they were still better than the Eagles. I expected it to be close, but I predicted the Pats to win by at least 7........

Ridiculous notion. Some of you pats fans are getting overly pompous and could be in for a rude awakening soon.

Last night's game proves one thing if anything.... that the Pats remain unbeaten but no longer seem unbeatable.

Cheers.

I don't even think Bill Clinton could have come up with spin like this.

If they were going to "practice" they would have done it in the 2nd half if and when they were up by 3 touchdowns, not during a close game.

This game was one bad AJ Feeley decision from going the other way.

Translation: You HOPE JaMarcus Russell is the real deal, because they spent a #1 overall pick on him and gave him $30 million in guaranteed money....so he's your QB for the next 3-4 years whether he's any good or not.

BTW, who's Kiffin gonna replace the O-line with? Guys that other teams don't want? There isn't exactly a surplus of good offensive lineman out there.

Couldn't have said it better. With their weaknesses exposed, a team with better options could pull one out. I'm looking forward to the Pats game against the Steelers, that should be a close one. Who knows, maybe Eli Manning will stop sucking dick and beat the Pats at home.

I am from Philly and a huge Eagles fan however AJ is NOT the real deal. 7 interceptions in 2 games? I think David Akers could have done better. Sure he played ok against the Pats but yesterday his true talent or lack there of showed up.

AJ is fearless...he'll throw into any coverage. The one thing I like about him though is he trusts his receivers. McNabb does not. Either way, the season is basically over for the Eagles. One more loss and they're out of the playoffs so I'd expect to see Kolb for at least the last two games of the season. This will probably be McNabb's last year in Philly.
