Put it this way..If it were a racial slur, Foxworthy would not be on TV, pimping his redneck books, etc...without censorship taking place.
Redneck has to do with down south boys in a low income situation. Most of these people are proud of it, and God bless em'. I do not feel this thread (until people started posting black videos) was made on the grounds of starting a racially fueled thread. It was a video about dumb people dubbing themselves rednecks and acting like idiots. It was one of those "what the fuck?!" videos, and nothing more.
Who cares about what people think of another person's skin color. Does it really matter to you if a person you do not like anyway dislikes the hue of your skin (not that he doesn't, but I'm just saying)? If your need is to have every person respect your skin color or to point out flaws of another, then the troubles running below are much deeper. Generalizing doesn't make a defensive person look any better.
Geez...a lot of people assume African Americans are overly sensitive to race issues, yet GFY has more white people jumping on the finger pointing bandwagon than anything. Aren't there more important issues out there that can be addressed?Comment
