It's good to see Chavez knocked down a peg or two.

Ah sorry didnt understand your question.
His ministers and those around him charge commisions to foreign oil companies like Exxon,Total,Shell and the usual suspects.
Itīs no secret here in Venezuela how those in high seats in PDVSA (the national oil company) are becoming incredibly rich overnight.

Just one story:
Quote:

On Sunday, 17 April, before dawn, an accident occurred on Crandon Boulevard in Key Biscayne, in Miami, which draws us closer to seeing the chink in PdVSA’s armor.

Two young men were involved in the accident and one of them, the passenger, died almost instantly when the vehicle veered to one side and rammed into a tree at a high rate of speed. The surviving driver, and supposed owner of the Lamborghini automobile, which was totaled (see photos), is a young Venezuelan by the name of Eudo Enrique Carruyo Perozo, who was transferred to the Jackson Memorial Hospital Ryder Trauma Center in Miami.

The relevance of this tragic mishap to the present topic rests on the fact that Eudo Enrique Carruyo is the son of the internal director of the Board of Directors of PdVSA, Eudomario Carruyo Rondón, CI 3.113.881, and the value of the Lamborghini Murciélago is $328,150.

Says alleged Ivy League DH who knows absolutely nothing, but just likes to keep his mind bent on warped politics and could not see corruption or propaganda if it stared him in the face.

Yeah right :1orglaugh

When you allow bad government, all sorts of terrible things happen, such as wars. If you were to say that the German people also deserved a share of blame for electing and tolerating Hitler, I would agree with that too.

Prior to a few sudden ugly decisions during WW2, Hitler was one of the greatest leaders in history. So there was really nothing to "tolerate." He brought Germany back to life and had a 98-99% approval rating. That is why the people of Germany stood by him during WW2.

Saddam on the other hand did nothing for Iraq that warranted Iraqis allowing him to stay in power. Fact is, the people of Iraq are some of the biggest cowards in the entire world. That is why so little progress has been made there since the start of the war.

Chavez.... He isn't the big bad wolf that Bush and the US media make him out to be. They have a legit democracy down there, and there are no signs of Chavez not respecting the will of his people.

Didnīt think I would have to bring this up so quickly:
Quote:

Yeah really democratic, calling the oppositionīs victory "shitty" on live national TV, backed by his military command:
http://uk.reuters.com/article/oilRpt...62583920071205

And by the looks of it he is going to choose to ignore the peopleīs vote and he is still going to try to push his socialist constitution on the country using the completely pro-Chavez congress. Even more democratic.
Despite the current constitution stating clearly that once a constitutional reform has been defeated it cannot be presented again during the same presidential period.

He is not going to rest until he drives this country to a civil war apparently.

Remember to bump this every time one of these Chavez lovers call him a "democrat".
